Welcome to my blog! I’m Amy – wife, mother, Christian, and homemaker. I was born and raised in North Carolina, and I am a Southern Girl at heart. But I’ve since found myself settled down in the suburbs of New Jersey. On my blog, you can expect to find delicious recipes, easy DIY projects, and personal experiences and tips about motherhood.

I like to think of myself as the next Pioneer Woman (she’s my idol!), because she is always feeding a ton of people and her recipes are kid-approved. I’m a firm believer that food is the main way to extend love and hospitality to others. Because I love to cook for large groups, I appreciate recipes that are simple, filling, cheap, and above all, delicious. While my baby isn’t quite ready for my cooking, I do have to make sure my food is husband-approved for the man who had never eaten a vegetable before we started dating. Because I’m from the South, many of my recipes are filled with mayo, butter, and cheese. But I’m also a millennial, so you can expect to find some healthy foods thrown in too.

When it comes to DIY projects, I have a love/hate relationship. I love DIY projects because they give me a sense of pride and accomplishment that I can’t get from buying stuff from the store. They also save me lots of money, and I can make something that fits the vision in my head exactly. I hate DIY projects because when I’m searching for them on Pinterest, I often come across tutorials that are more expensive than if I just bought the item new. So, I’ve decided to be a different DIY blogger by sharing my projects that actually save money but still look inspired. I hope that my tutorials inspire you to create beauty in your own home and spend less in the process.

I became a mother to the most beautiful baby girl in August 2018. We had a rocky start to breastfeeding, but we made it! Because of my hard experience, I want to help other moms in their journeys of motherhood. I happen to be a huge nerd, and I have soaked up huge amounts of knowledge on pregnancy, breastfeeding, and babies in general that I can’t wait to share.

My hope for everyone is that through cooking amazing meals, designing beautiful pieces for your home, and intentional motherhood, you can turn your home into your own little piece of heaven.
